The past few months have been especially busy at the FMRQ, particularly on the political and media fronts. First, after we took part in Parliamentary Committee hearings on essential services in early fall, we were invited again to submit a brief, on November 12, 2019, to the members of Quebec’s Committee on Health and Social Services concerning Bill 43 – An Act to amend the Nurses Act and other provisions in order to facilitate access to health services.

In this edition, Générations, faut se parler !, look in particular for an article by our President, Dr Christian Campagna, focussing mainly on the profession of resident doctor and young doctor bashing.

The Fédération des médecins omnipraticiens du Québec (FMOQ) now gives you access to the electronic version of its monthly publication, Le Médecin du Québec.

Family medicine residents may access it without charge on Apple Store or Google Play. A tablet version is also available. Just create an account on the FMOQ website to access it. 

Residents in other specialties may access the current and previous Internet issues on their website.

The Société des sciences vasculaires du Québec (SSVQ) is organizing a videosymposium / videoconference, an Accredited Group Learning Activity, on GLP1 receptor agonists and protection of target organisms.

We provide three apartments to be shared in Montreal containing three rooms each. These apartments are exclusively for residents.  To be eligible, your rotation must be mandatory and take place more than 50 km away from your usual training site.
